Heather believes in empowering families and in building a strong community support system for the families with whom she partners. She is a strong collaborator and works with teams to enhance communication and to ensure that everyone is working toward the common goal of helping families to move toward stability and to reach their vision. Having a passion for working with this population, Heather seeks and participates in educational opportunities, so that she can better aid her families.
My Story
Heather has partnered with youth and families as a Wraparound Facilitator for 4 years. She earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology with concentrations in Clinical Psychology and Drugs and Addictions from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Heather has worked in the field of behavioral and mental health for more than 10 years, partnering with youth who have complex developmental, behavioral, and mental health needs and challenges. Prior to becoming a Wraparound Facilitator, Heather worked as a Community-based Direct Support Professional and School-based Skills Provider. During her career, Heather networked with multiple state and local agencies and gained knowledge and experience in navigating families through the Department of Child Services and the Probation System. Heather has partnered with many youth who have been diagnosed with autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or rare medical conditions. Additionally, Heather has partnered with numerous youth affiliated with the LGBTQ+ community.
